Terms of Service

By installing or using the Calendar Call Alert Chrome extension (“the extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

Calendar Call Alert is a free Chrome extension that monitors your primary Google Calendar for upcoming events with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex links and plays an audible alert approximately one minute before each meeting starts. Optional paid SMS alerts are billed through Stripe on calendarcallalert.com.

To use the extension you must sign in with a Google account and grant read-only access to your Google Calendar. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You can revoke the extension's access at any time from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The extension schedules alerts using Chrome's built-in alarm system. Alert timing is approximate and may drift by several seconds. Alerts will not fire if:

• Chrome is not running.
• Your computer is asleep or shut down.
• Your operating system's Do Not Disturb or Focus Assist mode suppresses notifications.
• A meeting is added to your calendar less than approximately 60 seconds before its start time.
• Work Hours (off by default) or quick mute is enabled and suppresses ring audio (notifications may still appear; the floating alert window opens only while ringing).
• Chrome's alarm system is delayed after sleep or wake (the extension attempts to reconcile missed alerts on resume, but timing is not guaranteed).

You are solely responsible for attending your meetings on time. Do not rely on this extension as your only means of being notified about important meetings.

Optional SMS alerts are a paid subscription billed through Stripe. By verifying your mobile number on calendarcallalert.com, you consent to receive informational text messages from Calendar Call Alert about your video meetings, including verification codes, meeting alerts with a join link, and test messages you request. We do not share mobile phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message frequency varies. Verification texts are sent when you request a confirmation code. Meeting texts are sent when a desktop alert fires (all meetings) or about three minutes after an alert if you take no Join, Dismiss, or Snooze action (missed meetings). You may also request a test text. Meeting and test texts are capped at 40 per day per account.

The desktop extension is free. Subscribe, cancel, and update your card on the website. The extension never takes payment.

The desktop product and optional SMS service are provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the extension, including but not limited to missed meetings, lost business, or data loss.

Your use of the extension is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The extension does not send your calendar to our servers unless you subscribe to SMS, in which case we send only the meeting title, start time, and join URL to deliver the text.

The extension and its source code are the property of its developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the extension except as permitted by applicable law or an open-source license if one is published with the source code.

The extension interacts with Google Calendar via Google's API. Optional SMS uses Stripe for billing and Twilio to send texts. When you tap Join, it opens the meeting invite URL from your calendar event in a browser tab. Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Google Calendar, Stripe, and Twilio are third-party services subject to their own terms.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
