Terms of Service

By installing or using the Calendar Call Alert Chrome extension (“the extension”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not install or use the extension.

Calendar Call Alert is a free Chrome extension that monitors your primary Google Calendar for upcoming events with Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or Webex links and plays an audible alert approximately one minute before each meeting starts.

To use the extension you must sign in with a Google account and grant read-only access to your Google Calendar. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Google account. You can revoke the extension's access at any time from your Google Account settings at myaccount.google.com/permissions.

The extension schedules alerts using Chrome's built-in alarm system. Alert timing is approximate and may drift by several seconds. Alerts will not fire if:

• Chrome is not running.
• Your computer is asleep or shut down.
• Your operating system's Do Not Disturb or Focus Assist mode suppresses notifications.
• A meeting is added to your calendar less than approximately 60 seconds before its start time.
• Work Hours (off by default) or quick mute is enabled and suppresses ring audio (notifications may still appear; the floating alert window opens only while ringing).
• Chrome's alarm system is delayed after sleep or wake (the extension attempts to reconcile missed alerts on resume, but timing is not guaranteed).

You are solely responsible for attending your meetings on time. Do not rely on this extension as your only means of being notified about important meetings.

The extension is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the extension, including but not limited to missed meetings, lost business, or data loss.

Your use of the extension is also governed by the Privacy Policy. The extension does not send your calendar to our servers.

The extension and its source code are the property of its developer. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer the extension except as permitted by applicable law or an open-source license if one is published with the source code.

The extension interacts with Google Calendar via Google's API. When you tap Join, it opens the meeting invite URL from your calendar event in a browser tab. If you turn on optional phone alerts, the extension also sends the meeting title and join link to ntfy.sh, which you use at your own risk and only after you agree to ntfy's terms (https://docs.ntfy.sh/privacy/) and these terms. We do not control ntfy.sh and are not responsible for its availability, security, or handling of those messages. Google Meet, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Webex, Google Calendar, and ntfy are third-party services subject to their own terms.

Phone alerts are optional. Turning them on means you agree that Calendar Call Alert may publish meeting titles and join links to the ntfy.sh topic stored in your browser, and that you have agreed to ntfy's terms. Chrome must be running. Alerts can fail if ntfy.sh is unavailable, if your topic is wrong, or if the ntfy app is not subscribed.

You are responsible for keeping your topic private. We are not liable for missed meetings or for anyone else reading a notification sent to a topic you shared or exposed.

These terms may be updated from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of the extension after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
